Recent news has been so terrible. I'd like to extend my condolences to those who lost someone as of late. I did hear about this sooner, but I was so boggled down with my work abroad that I simply did not have time to write this down. However, I did get in just this morning, which is why I'm not at work. I was given the day off for my troubles abroad. I suppose they believe it isn't easy dealing with goblins in Egypt, and while I did have a bit of a difficult time at first, they seemed to open up to me as we went along. As a result, the monetary exchange rate could change. Our negotiations were successful thankfully. Unfortunately, there are still a few key issues that have not been decided upon, which is why I can't speak any more on this. I have faith though that these issues will be resolved within the week. This is a very good thing.
I believe I'll go visit my sister, as well as Diagon Alley. I hear it looks rather nice. Has anyone else been? Would anyone like for me to pick up something while I'm there? I feel terribly useless not going to work. I haven't heard anything, however, on that well-advertised, Ministry-run ball. It seemed like it would have been nice to attend, but as I had to go out of town, I was unable. And even though it's supposed to be my day off.... how are things at the bank today? Things should be picking up considering school's starting soon. We tend to get the Hogwarts rush right about now. I suppose I'll see it during my visit to the Alley, and I promise I won't go into the bank. Or I might, just for a peek. I'm sure I'll get yelled at if I do though, so I'll think about it before heading off in that direction.
